There is something beautiful about the way children see the people they love.
As adults, we form opinions about each other so easily.
We notice how someone dresses, how they speak, how patient they are, how they behave.
We decide who seems sophisticated, kind, successful, or put together.
Children see something different.
To a child, their mum might be the most beautiful person in the room.
Their dad might as well be Superman.
They light up when they see them. They copy them. They talk about them. They want to be near them.
And perhaps that is something we forget as we grow older.
We notice everything we're getting wrong.
They see their person.
Someone they admire.
Someone they trust.
Someone who, for a little while, is one of the biggest people in their world.
We often think our children are the extraordinary ones.
Maybe we forget that, in their eyes, we are too.
Never underestimate who you are in the eyes of your child.
This thought became the inspiration behind our new print, You Are Someone Very Big to Someone Very Small — a little reminder for the ordinary days when we question ourselves, that to someone very small, our presence can mean something very big.
